Dear Karl,
I have reviewed our file copy of the contract which you signed with Rinehart back in April, 1943, and although the agreement does not specify a book entitled THE LIVELIHOOD OF MAN (the volume which you and I discussed back in mid-january 1953), I do believe that under the contract yo have a legal obligation to Rinehart for a second book.
