Terrie Hopkins also is heading for Africa, very much on the sociological lines. Frankly, I believe that for economic anthropology no “subdiscipline” is more relevant than the sociological approach, rather on the lines of Weber and institutional analysis than on those of general sociology, (Talcott Parsons). Paul B's most important discoveries (multicentries e.g.) seem to bear this out.
