Dear Karl,
I proposed the "modus vivendi" theme to the C.B.C. or a series of three short talks. They asked to see some kind of outline and so I prepared the enclosed.
I am not entirely happy with it. It is rambling and disjointed and I recognize that more work will have to be done for the sake of clarity and lucidity. Nevertheless it was a question of getting the thing in immediately for consideration in principle, and so I sent it along. I am certainly eager to have your comments.
As you know, I also propose to do my Master's Essay on this theme. I think that the pertinent results of "Trade and Market" should be included as a chapter of the essay, e.g. the chapter might be headed "What is Trade?"
What form should a statement for my Master's Essay take at this point? Should I make use of the enclose "Summary"?
Working on the same theme for two different purposes is the kind of thing that a novice like myself finds rather unsettling. Can you bail me out with some suggestions before I ride off in all directions at once?
