We have not made a very good job of eliminating extra-familial stumbling blades to our true sentiments. This is constantly on my mind, and I have written innumerable letters in my head with a view to eliminating or {circum}venting this block. I shall leave all these letters unwritten for the moment, but am sending a message that may go some way toward this aim in form of the MS of my Terry Lectures.
